Cool+Press Combi Boot

One of the main features of the Cool+Press Kombi Boot is that it can be used to perform treatments not only when the horse is standing still, but also when it is on the move.

Clinical studies on humans have shown that post-traumatic and post-operative cooling therapies can be highly beneficial, especially when the cooling is accompanied by compression treatment.

Indications:

  • Cooling therapy accompanied by controlled compression has proved to be particularly beneficial in the treatment of musculoskeletal strain, muscle pain, and inflammation of tendon insertions and joints.
  • Similar symptoms occurring in the course of rehabilitation and following the recommencement of training can also be relieved in a relatively short space of time.
  • Cooling therapy is also beneficial when used to support the treatment of diseased joints (arthrosis).
  • Swollen legs (so-called inactivity oedemas), as observed in horses that have spent lengthy periods in horseboxes, also respond well to cooling treatment accompanied by compression.
  • Cooling for two or three days followed by the application of warmth is known to be particularly beneficial in the treatment of tendonitis and tendovaginitis.

The correct movement therapy when the horse regains reasonably full use of its legs plays an important role in the treatment of such conditions.

In conclusion: Lymph drainage has proven to be of particular value in the treatment of inactivity oedemas, tendovaginitis, chronic phlegmones, and post-operative and posttraumatic swellings.
